Assoc. Prof. Dr.tech. BUI Quoc Tinh
Director
Prof. Tinh Q. Bui is currently an Associate Professor and Director of DTRICE Research Institute. Prof. Bui holds an Associate Professor at Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan, and directed his research group in Computational Mechanics. He also holds an Adjunct Professor, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, long-term Visiting Professor position at Dalian University of Technology, China, and long-term Visiting Associate Professor at the NTUST, Taiwan. Prof. Bui has been member of board of trustees, Duy Tan University, Vietnam since 2016. He subsequently worked as postdoctoral researcher in France and Germany. He won prestigious JSPS postdoctoral fellowships for both standard and pathway. Prof. Bui received a BSc degree in Mathematics and Computer Science, VNU-HCMC University of Science, 2002, a MSc degree in Mechanics of Constructions, University of Liège, Belgium, 2005, and a Dr. techn. degree (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering, Vienna University of Technology, Austria, 2009. Prof. Bui is currently a Subject Editor for Applied Mathematical Modelling (Elsevier), Associate Editor for Journal of Vibration Engineering & Technologies (Springer), and Editorial Board Members for Computers & Structures (Elsevier); Thin-Walled Structures (Elsevier); Engineering Analysis with Boundary Elements (Elsevier); Scientific Reports (Nature), Machine Learning for Computational Science and Engineering (Springer); and Science and Engineering of Composite Materials (De Gruyter) Prof. Bui was awarded "The 2018 JACM Award for Young Investigators in Computational Mechanics" from Japan Association for Computational Mechanics. He is authored and co-authored of over 250 ISI peer-reviewed articles. Prof. Bui’s research interests lie in the areas of computational mechanics, material modeling, computational inelasticity, fracture mechanics, nonlinear plates/shells structures, composites, stochastic high-performance computing, AI-based computational engineering; and numerical methods.

Dr. Vuong Dinh Chanh obtained the title Doctor of Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology in 2023. He joined DTRICE team and has taken the role of researcher and lecturer from June of 2023.
